Experience modern innovations and ancient traditions as you explore South Korea. Spend time in Seoul wandering busy shopping districts, visiting traditional temples, and experiencing world-famous Korean pop culture. Day 1: Fly to South Korea

Day 2: Seoul

Meet your Field Director at the destination airport

Day 3: Seoul

Take a tour of Seoul

With your Field Director, you will:

  • See the Blue House —the residence and office of the President of South Korea
  • Visit Gyeongbokgung Palace, where you’ll witness a guard-changing ceremony
  • Visit the National Folk Museum

Visit the traditional Buddhist Jogyesa Temple 

Take a walking tour of the Ikseon-dong neighborhood with your Field Director

View Seoul from the top of N Seoul Tower (weather dependent)   

Enjoy dinner in Seoul

Day 4: Seoul

Visit the War Memorial of Korea

Visit the Bukchon Hanok Village

Take a walking tour of Myeongdong with your Field Director, a modern shopping district 

Spend time exploring Namdaemun market on your own

Day 5: Seoul

🔹 Independent exploration: Spend a full day exploring Seoul on your own

Day 6: Seoul • Busan

Travel by bullet train to Busan

Take an in-depth tour of Busan

With your Field Director you will see:

  • BIFF Square
  • Busan Tower
  • Jagalchi Fish Market 

Visit Haedong Yoggungsa Temple

Enjoy dinner in Busan

Day 7: Busan

Visit Gamcheon Culture Village

Take a beach train to Cheongsapo

Spend time exploring the white sands of Haeundae Beach on your own

Day 8: Busan • Gyeongju

🔹 Independent exploration: Spend the morning exploring Busan on your own 

Travel to Gyeongju

Visit the Gyeongju National Museum

Stroll through Tumuli Park 

Visit Cheomseongdae, a 7th-century observatory tower  

Day 9: Gyeongju

Take an in-depth tour of Gyeongju

With your Field Director you will visit: 

  • Seokguram Grotto
  • Bulguksa Temple 

Visit Wolji Pond and see Donggung Palace 

 🔹 Independent exploration: spend the afternoon exploring Hwangridan Street on your own 

Day 10: Gyeongju • Seoul

Return to Seoul via bullet train

Enjoy a non-verbal Nanta performance 

Enjoy dinner in Seoul

Day 11: Depart for home

Fly to Jeju Island

Take an in-depth tour of Jeju Island

With your Field Director, you will visit: 

  • Samseonghyeol
  • Folklore and Natural History Museum
  • Yongduam Rock

Take a walking tour of Dongmun Traditional Market with your Field Director

Enjoy dinner in Jeju

Day 12: Jeju

Hike to the peak of Seongsan Ilchulbong

Visit the Haenyeo Museum

Stroll through Seongeup Folk Village

Enjoy a local craft workshop

Enjoy dinner in Jeju

Day 13: Jeju

Take another in-depth tour of Jeju

With your Field Director you will:

  • visit the O'Sulloc Tea Museum
  • see the Yongmeori Coast and Jusangjeolli Cliff 
  • hike to the Cheonjeyeon Waterfalls

Visit Yakcheonsa Temple

Explore the Camellia Hill Botanical Garden

Enjoy dinner in Jeju

Day 14: Jeju • Seoul • Depart for home
