Gain a better understanding of Irish identity by connecting with locals in the bustling capital of Dublin, exploring the rugged coastline of Galway—known as Ireland’s cultural heart—and touring the castle-dotted hillsides around the Ring of Kerry. There’s even time to kiss the Blarney Stone!

    Meet your Tour Director at the airport

    Take a walking tour of Dublin

    With your Tour Director you will see:

    • Grafton Street, a brick-lined street known as the center of commerce
    • Temple Bar district, Dublin's iconic hip neighborhood

    Enjoy a traditional Guinness stew dinner in Dublin

  • Day 3: Dublin

    🔹 Guided learning: Take a guided tour of Dublin 

    With your expert local guide you will see:

    • Dublin's five iconic Georgian squares, which span the north and south sides of Dublin and are surrounded by homes with colorful doors
    • O’Connell Street, a bustling street filled with monuments
    • St. Stephen’s Green, the largest of the five Georgian squares
    • Phoenix Park and the presidential residence

    See the Book of Kells at Trinity College, a manuscript created more than 1,000 years ago by Irish monks

    Visit St. Patrick’s Cathedral, whose presence honors the patron saint of Ireland

    Visit the EPIC Museum in Dublin to learn about the history of emigration from Ireland

  • Day 4: Dublin • Galway

    Travel via Clonmacnoise, a ruined monastery, to Galway, often called the cultural heart of Ireland

    Visit the Clonmacnoise site on the eastern bank of the River Shannon 

    Take a walking tour of Galway, including Eyre Square and the Latin Quarter

    Enjoy dinner in Galway

  • Day 5: Galway • Doolin • Killarney

    Travel via Doolin and the Cliffs of Moher on your way to scenic Killarney   

    Travel by the Aran Islands Ferry to Inis Oírr (mid-March through October only)

    Visit the Cliffs of Moher, a set of breathtaking rock formations that run for 9 miles along the coast of Ireland

    🔹 Guided learning: Learn about the history, ecology, and cultural importance of the Cliffs of Moher at the Cliffs of Moher Interpretive Center 

  • Day 6: Killarney

    Take an excursion to the Ring of Kerry, a 112-mile coastal route with incredible views of the Atlantic Ocean and the surrounding mountain range of Macgillycuddy’s Reeks 

    🔹 Cultural engagement: Visit the Kerry Bog Village Museum and wander through a re-creation of an Irish village from the early 1800s as costumed guides demonstrate the way of life that prevailed in 19th-century rural Ireland

  • Day 7: Killarney • Cork

    Travel via Blarney to Cork, a thriving city full of art, live music, and a growing restaurant scene  

    🔹 Cultural engagement: Visit Blarney Castle, the famed medieval fortification which is said to grant the gift of eloquence to anyone who kisses the Blarney Stone

    Visit the Queenstown Story exhibition at the Cobh Heritage Centre

    See the Rock of Cashel, the former seat of the Kings of Munster

    • Shankill Row, a center of Loyalist activity during The Troubles

    Visit Giant's Causeway, ancient rock formations comprised of thousands of 55-million-year-old hexagonal basalt columns

    Cross between grassy islands on Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, suspended nearly 100 feet above the rocks below

    At Bushmills Distillery, take a peek at what goes into crafting this famous Irish whiskey and go behind the scenes of one of the oldest known distilleries in the world
