Swiss Alps experience
This exciting half-day adventure takes you to the top of one of the Swiss Alps, the majestic mountainous backdrop of Lucerne. Journey to the base of the mountain by boat and ride a cog railway to the top. You’ll reach the summit and be rewarded with a splendid panorama of Lucerne, its lake, and the glorious snow-capped Alps. On a clear day, you can see for more than 200 miles! You’ll get back to the foot of the mountain by way of a gondola ride. (Please note: Mountains can be cold, even in summer; warm clothes and appropriate shoes are recommended.)

Cape Sounion
Opt to visit Cape Sounion and the Temple of Poseidon, overlooking the Aegean Sea. Legend says that King Aegeus stood atop Cape Sounion, waiting for his son Theseus’ return from battle with the Minotaur. King Aegeus had instructed his son’s crew to hoist white sails if Theseus had successfully slain the Minotaur and black sails if he had been defeated. Forgetting his father’s instructions, Theseus returned with black sails, and his heartbroken father dove into the sea. Thus, the waters became known as the Aegean Sea. You’ll visit the impressive Temple of Poseidon; 15 of the temple’s original columns are still standing. As you walk through the temple, look for the column where Lord Byron carved his name. Then take some time to relax and grab a snack at one of the charming cafés overlooking the water.
