Visit Trashy Bags, an organization aimed at sustainability that transforms plastic trash into bags and gifts and is leading the way in sustainable development in Africa
Visit a local coffin shop, where you'll see elaborate coffins that reflect the personality, career, and aspirations of the deceased, including coffins shaped as fish, airplanes, animals, and more

Visit Global Mamas, a fair trade organization established and run by women to support other local women financially; Artisans working with this organization use batik, a traditional dyeing technique and pattern
Travel to Kumasi, known for its relationship to the Ashanti Empire and is recognized as a center of tradition
Tour a sustainable cocoa farm and learn how Ghana is the second largest cocoa exporter in the world

Tour Kumasi with an expert local guide and visit the Ashanti Craft Villages, where you’ll see expert artisans selling their intricate goods, including kente cloth and wood carvings

Travel to Cape Coast, an important trading area that was highly impacted by colonialism as various European countries built trading lodges and forts along the coast

Tour Cape Coast Castle and slave dungeons with an expert local guide, pausing to reflect on colonial influence in Ghana; In 1874, the British presence dominated, and Cape Castle was where most slaves were held before their journey on the Middle Passage
Take part in a Batik workshop, a colorful and intricately patterned technique of dyeing fabric, and see how its colorful design is created
Visit a local university and compare and contrast higher education systems between Ghana and the United States

Visit the Baobab Foundation, a school built on the pillars of inclusivity and sustainability
