Tandem program structure
Our programs are 2 – 8 week “teach abroad” formats where student immersion is accelerated with two learning tracks working in tandem:
EF’s Live the Language classes (3 credits in language, cultural empathy, and cross-cultural communication)
Your faculty-led course where you teach on a parallel schedule.
Together, this creates a high-value, 6-credit experience for students in as little as 3 weeks for as low as $3900.
Students spend the morning or afternoon in EF’s signature “Live the Language” class learning some of the local language, cultural empathy, and cross-cultural communication at EF’s international campus with other students from around the world.
Immersive Language Instruction: Aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) A1-C2.
Academic Credibility & Certification: Transcripted by Colorado State University (EF's official School of Record).
Curriculum Design: Designed by leading linguistic scholars, Dr. Beata Schmid and Dr. David Bish, courses are modular and flexible, and students can join any time without missing prior content.
Global Student Mix: U.S. students can learn alongside peers from around the world, and take part in cross-cultural engagement and gain global perspectives.
Beyond the Classroom: Get a personalized and immersive learning experience with Special Interest (SPIN) classes that deliver deeper career or cultural exploration.
